Our commercial practice entails advising, negotiating, reviewing, and drafting various contractual and transactional commercial practice instruments.

We routinely advise and represent clients on various matters pertaining to debt recovery, seizures of movables and immovable properties, securities, etc.

Our corporate commercial offering is at the core of our advisory practice. Our diverse clientele in this area ranges from sole proprietorships to international corporations, from start-ups to multi-generational conglomerates. The challenges they face are as diverse as their profiles. Our team is on hand to guide our clients big and small through such legal matters. Our work includes:

Christopher’s practice is focused on the intersection of law, finance and technology and how that nexus can be harnessed for sustainable transformation. Christopher returned to legal practice after six years as in-house counsel at American Tower Corporation (ATC) where he advised on various commercial, legal and regulatory aspects of ATC’s operations in Uganda.

Bernard is a Senior Partner at the firm and the current President of the East Africa Law Society. He is a certified PPP specialist with over 10 years experience. Bernard went into private practice having spent close to nine years working as Legal Advisor with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, first as a Legal Counsel with the Privatisation Unit and thereafter as a Legal Advisor with the Department of Project Analysis and PPPs.
Daniel is a Partner with the firm’s Real Estate and Conveyance department. He has over 30 years’ experience in land matters first as an Assistant Government Valuer and secondly as a Registrar of Titles.
Moses is a Senior Associate with the firm. He has extensive experience in real estate, banking and finance matters. He advises commercial banks on security documentation and is routinely involved in drafting loan agreements, charges, mortgages, guarantees, debentures and other reviewing and advising on offer letters, drafting charges, mortgages, guarantees, debentures and other security documents. Moses also advises on regulatory aspects of banking law.

Mercy is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial, Banking and Finance Teams. She advises financial institutions on compliance obligations with Uganda’s regulatory regime as well as lending arrangements.
